Palmas Got Their Van Stolen
Raising funds for a band who got their van stolen by some dirtbags
I for one have never had a car of mine stolen. Even though I grew up watching movies like Gone in 60 Seconds, I assumed car thieves like Nicolas Cage are always prowling the streets, trying to steal 50 luxury cars in one night. The guys in Palmas might not have a 1973 Ford Mustang, but their 2000 Ford E-350 was stolen one night by a dirtbag father-and-son duo. Luckily, with help from surveillance tapes and the vigilant public eye, the van was found and returned—but the van was the victim of a ton of damage, including having the ignition ripped out, door locks popped out, stolen battery, ripped out muffler, and body damage. On top of that, some equipment was in the van along with all of their merch, which was not recovered.
To help ease the financial burden of fixing the van along with replacing stolen gear, a GoFundMe was created to raise money in addition to selling these shirts I designed. Those who donate $50 or more will receive a shirt and a beer koozie. So if getting a cool shirt while supporting a rad band doesn't convince you to donate, I don't know what will. Maybe that's being dramatic, but you get the point.
