If you don’t mind, a quick introduction
Alejandro Rodriguez is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer who creates memorable branding and experiences through art direction and graphic design. Passionate about creating thoughtfully crafted work, Alejandro works as a creative partner for small businesses and start-ups. He currently works as a designer at a NYC branding studio, Frank Collective, where they help launch companies by finding new and innovative ideas to use storytelling and digital media to disrupt industries and reshape categories.
Growing up in the skateboarding and music culture, Alejandro created illustrations inspired by board graphics and by the memorizing editorial illustrations that covered skateboarding magazines. These early skills then adapted their way into creating band t-shirts for close friends then eventually his skills were focused on identity design, illustration, and custom lettering. Alejandro sells prints in his shop and even wrote and illustrated a small print publication, Farewell Monsters, a non-fiction scientific inquiry of extinct creatures.
Originally from Lancaster Pennsylvania, Alejandro studied graphic design at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where upon graduation was awarded the Excellence in Graphic Communications and received the Certificate of Merit at the 2014 Tom Frecska Student Printing Competition. Most recently, Alejandro was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Young Alumni of the year.
